FETAC Level 6 (Module Code B30204)

Designed for:
This module is designed to equip learners with essential knowledge to achieve a FETAC credit in Business Development at level 6.

Course aim:
The aim of the module is to equip the learner with knowledge to strengthen and develop their skills in winning, managing and growing customer accounts.

Why do this course?
This module is aimed at those who are currently employed in the sales or business development sector and those wishing to progress to this area. This module is a mandatory element of the Advanced Certificate in Management (FETAC Level 6).

What’s included?

The learners that successfully complete this module will:

  • Understand new customer opportunities and develop individual strategies to make progress
  • Understand key marketing principles and be able to attract new customers
  • Explain selection of appropriate market entry strategies for new markets- either in Ireland or over seas.
  • Develop a customer oriented quality service consistent with best practice and standards
  • Apply the principles of persuasive communication in a commercial situation
  • Apply the principles of account development and management

The Specific Learning Outcomes are divided into 5 units.

Unit 1 – Understanding Customers
Unit 2 – Marketing to New Customers
Unit 3 – Market Entry Strategies
Unit 4 – Selling and the value proposition
Unit 5 – Key Account Management
